Mint | Near Mint | Very Good Plus | Very Good | Good/Good Plus | Poor/Fair
Mint (M): Absolut perfekt - wurde niemals benutzt und ist möglicherweise noch versiegelt.
Near Mint (NM;M-): Eine fast perfekter Zustand. Der Artikel zeigt keinerlei Gebrauchsspuren. Nur ausgepackt.
Very Good+ (VG+): Hat erkennbare Gebrauchsspuren, wurde aber vom Vorbesitzer gut gepflegt. Der Artikel kann minimale Abnutzungserscheinungen (durch Benutzung). Im grossen und ganzen, ist eine very good+ für fast alle Sammler ein sehr guter und sammlungswürdiger Zustand.
Very Good (VG): Viele der Mängel eines VG+ Artikels, treten hier verstärkt auf. Wie auch immer der Artikcel kann 2 oder 3 Mängel haben!
Good (G): Good heisst nicht 'schlecht'! Der Artikel im Zustand Good kann der Artikel einige Kratzer und deutlich sichtbare Abnutzungserscheinungen haben. Wenn es nicht wirklich rar ist, wartet man lieber auf einen besseren Zustand - wenn man aber schon ewig danach sucht und der Preis stimmt sollte man die Chance nutzen.
Poor (P), Fair (F): Der Artikel ist voller und starker Abnutzungserscheinungen bzw. Beschädigungen. Im Normalfall ist der Artikel nicht sammelwürdig, ausser es handelt sich um absolute Top Rarität!

Mint (M) Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been used, possibly even still sealed.. Should be used sparingly as a grade, If at all.
Near Mint (NM or M-) A nearly perfect article. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly) that no article is ever truly perfect. The article should show no obvious signs of use. Basically, an article in near mint condition looks as if you just got it home from a new store and removed the shrink wrap. .
Very Good Plus (VG+) Generally worth 50 percent of the Near Mint value. A Very Good Plus article will show some signs that it was used and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. The article surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. In general, if not for a couple things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. All but the most mint-crazy collectors will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable.
Very Good (VG) Generally worth 25 percent of Near Mint value. Many of the defects found in a VG+ article will be more pronounced in a VG article. However, it will not have more then two or three of them.
Good (G), Good Plus (G+) Generally worth 10-15 percent of the Near Mint value. Good does not mean Bad! A article in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a living room. But it will have significant and visible traces of use. It is a common item, you'll probably find another copy in better shape eventually. Pass it up. But, if it's something you have been seeking for years, and the price is right, get it...but keep looking to upgrade.
Poor (P), Fair (F) Generally worth 0-5 percent of the Near Mint price. The article surface is damaged snd heavily marred by wear. Except for impossibly rare articles otherwise unattainable.
